Lori Neill currently resides in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina.
Initially suppressing her desire to create art; Lori pursued a business career and spent many years as a professional in the software industry. Unfortunately, flying around the world and living out of a suit case made little time for artistic creativity. A few years ago she made the commitment to change careers and became a professional artist. Since then, she has exhibited in several local and national shows, has been awarded with distinctions, published many times and her art work is found in collections around the United States and Europe.
Lori believes that you never stop learning, and is on a continuous pursuit to understand and push her medium. She has attended the University of North Carolina, the Icehouse Center, Penland School of Crafts, and several workshops. Lori travels extensively and when she is not creating art, she is studying art in museums, galleries and International art shows.
Creating new images in the one
of the worlds oldest and most difficult mediums, egg
tempera, provides the challenge she seeks.

In addition to egg tempera Lori also uses oil paints for small format "daily" paintings. Her current work centers around people and small objects they use.
